Solitude and Bars

Maybe it's the low hum/buzz/murmuration of conversation, mixing/mingling/blending with the clinking of glasses and the scent/a whiff/an aroma of stale beer/whiskey/something warm. You can get lost in a book/journal/thought, feeling like you're on the edge of a story/your own world/some secret. Sometimes, it's/being there is/that's enough.

You become/You fade into/You lose yourself in the dim lighting/soft glow/amber haze, observing/watching/staring prison at the faces/silhouettes/figures around you. They're stories untold/lives unfolding/moments captured. It's a snapshot/glimpse/peek into the human experience/city's soul/night's drama, and you feel strangely connected/apart/present amidst the chaos/commotion/energy.

Concrete Walls, Brick Barriers, Stone Enclosures
